Gibson named Co-Offensive Player of the year, Dragons picked to finish 7th
After a highlight filled 2016, MSUM wide receiever Damon Gibson has grabbed the attention of not just the midwest but the country.
Gibson was selected as the co-offensive player of the year for the Northern Sun in 2017.
Gibson was nominated for the Harlon Hill Award last year after a record setting season, hauling in 90 receptions for 1459 yards and 17 touchdowns.
He led the country in receiving yards per game.
The conference put out its preseason poll, after back to back winning seasons, the Dragons are in the top half of the league at 7.
MSU Mankato and Duluth were picked to finish 1st and 2nd, with Bemidji State third, the Beavers are picked to win the North Division.
