Bison point guard Kabellis to transfer from NDSU
FARGO - North Dakota State point guard Khy Kabellis announced Thursday he's leaving the school after two years and will transfer.
Bison head coach Dave Richman tells Dom Izzo that he's "surprised and disappointed by the decision." Richman says Kabellis is looking for a better fit for himself as a player.
Kabellis started fifty out of a possible 62 games during his two years in Fargo, averaging 11 points per game this past season, playing the second most minutes on the team.
Richman adds "I'm excited about the eight returning guys and four incoming players we have and we're committed to moving forward."
Kabellis is a native of Escondido, California.
NDSU finished 19-11 in 2016-17 and in second place in the Summit League.
