Two vehicle crash in Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS -- A Minot resident was cited for traffic signal disregard after driving through an intersection and hitting another vehicle, according to a report by the Grand Forks Police Department.

The report says that officers responded at 9:04 a.m. on Sunday, December 31st to a two-vehicle injury accident at the intersection of 40th Ave S & S. Washington St.

An investigation found that vehicle 1, driven by Mintot Resident K. Nelson, was driving south on S. Washington when it struck vehicle 2, driven by Grand Forks resident M. Gorneau, who was heading west on 40th Ave. South.

An adult and juvenile passenger from Gourneau's vehicle were transported by ambulance. The exact extent of their injuries is unknown.

Nelson was cited for traffic signal disregard.

The crash remains under investigation.
