Fargo sees large increase in car crashes in December
FARGO—There's been a dramatic increase in car crashes around the metro the month of December.
There have been more than 600 in Fargo so far.
That's over 200 more than last month.
The Fargo Police Department released the numbers over Facebook, hoping the data will get people to slow down.
Officers say most crashes happen during the 5:00 p.m. rush hour.
"What people don't think about sometimes is anticipating the intersections and anticipating those motorists that are driving too fast for the conditions, or they're not paying attention," said Jessica Schindeldecker, Crime Prevention Officer.
