Local people 'stick it' to cancer at 5K event
GRAND FORKS -- (WDAZ-TV) -- People in East Grand Forks are hoping to stick it to cancer at the Quick Feet 5K.
The 5K first started five years ago to honor a man who died of pancreatic cancer.
Today people ran in his memory and for anyone else fighting the deadly disease.
About 100 people ran, rollerbladed and walked starting at the VFW arena.
Participants then made a loop down city streets while organizers honked their horns to cheer them on.
The proceeds from the event will go to help finding a cure for cancer.
