Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo police have made a $12,000 drug bust and seized an even larger amount of cash. And the discovery was made worse by the fact that it happened 3 doors away from an elementary school. Fargo police arrested 20-year old Brock Joseph Ferebee for possession of 7 different types of drugs, including cocaine, LSD, mushrooms, prescription pills and marijuana. The drugs along with almost $15,000 in cash were found at a house on 10th Street North, not far from Roosevelt Elementary. Fargo police outlined the biggest concern that often comes with the presence of drugs.
Pelican Rapids, MN (WDAY TV) - Pelican Rapids high schoolers are bridging their community's religious differences. For the first time, the high school's religious baccalaureate service will include readings from the Muslim Koran. The service takes place as a blessing for the outgoing senior class and has always been a Christian event. But the push for an interfaith service comes from the town's growing diversity. 8 Muslim students will graduate with the school's 75-student graduating class. Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A Fargo first grade class will not be participating in the school's talent show, after a concerned parent called their act "racist." Their stunt was supposed to be performing the "Y-M-C-A" during Bennett Elementary's May talent show. A first grade teacher there asked parents to have their kids wear clothes like the Village people for show. Some would come dressed as a policeman, a cowboy, a biker dude, a construction worker or Native American.
