FARGO—Head coach recorded his 200th career win as his Fargo Oak Grove boys basketball team claimed a 69-61 win over Kindred Monday night. Oak Grove, ranked No. 4 in this week's Class B poll, got 23 points from Tyrell Rodriguez. Oak Grove improves to 12-1 overall while Kindred falls to 6-8 overall.
ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Court of Appeals has affirmed a judicial review panel’s recommendation to discharge a man with Clay County ties from the state’s sex offender treatment program. Kirk Alan Fugelseth, 50, was convicted of abusing children in Arizona, Oregon and Clay County in the 1990s. In 2001, he was sent to federal prison for possessing child pornography.
FARGO — The North Dakota Urban and Community Forestry Association is hosting a workshop for people to learn how to use a new online tool for exploring community forests. The association in partnership with the North Dakota Forest Service has created the North Dakota City Tree Map, which features a map of 90 cities across the state and its types of trees. The workshop is 9 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Fargo's Delta by Marriott Hotel, 1635 42nd St. S.
MOORHEAD — Community members can offer public input in listening sessions to help in hiring a new superintendent for Moorhead Area Public Schools. ROTHSAY, Minn. — A fire destroyed a Rothsay home Saturday, Jan. 27, while the owners were away, Wilkin County Sheriff Rick Fiedler said Monday. The fire at 241 1st Ave. N.W. was reported at 5:06 p.m., Fiedler said, and firefighters from the Rothsay and Elizabeth fire departments responded to the blaze along with Wilkin County sheriff's deputies. Homeowners Kevin and Kimberly Tangen and their pets were not home at the time of the fire, Fiedler said.
GRAND FORKS -- Geraldine McCorkell poured in 34 points and pulled down 9 rebounds to lift Idaho to a 78-64 Big Sky Conference women’s basketball win over North Dakota Saturday. UND, which falls to 10-10 overall and 3-6 in the Big Sky, got 16 points from Fallyn Freije and 13 points from Lexi Klabo. Idaho improves to 10-10 overall and 6-3 in the Big Sky.
MOORHEAD — A 26-year-old Moorhead man was being held Saturday, Jan. 27, in Cass County Jail after he allegedly stole a vehicle from an acquaintance and led police on an early morning chase through Moorhead and Fargo.

MOORHEAD – A Hawley, Minn., man charged with sexually assaulting a woman last year and later accused of bribing the victim was re-booked into Clay County Jail on Friday, Jan. 26, for violating a no-contact order.
MOORHEAD --A Fargo man suspected of crawling through a window into a south Moorhead home was arrested and cited for misdemeanor trespassing and disorderly conduct early Friday morning, Jan. 26, Moorhead police reported. Zachary Payne, 29, was taken to the Clay County Jail, cited, and then released, police reported.
