WEST FARGO – A 20-year-old man was arrested here on several charges related to possessing and delivering the powerful opioid carfentanil on Friday, June 2, according to West Fargo police. A search warrant was executed at the home of Jesse David Erickson where officers found carfentanil in a solution and carfentanil powder, Sgt. Derek Cruff said in a news release.

RALEIGH, N.D. (WDAY TV) – A 45-year-old Minot woman was killed in a rollover accident near here Saturday night. According to a press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old male from Minot was traveling southbound on Highway 31 south of Raleigh around 7:30 p.m. Saturday when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and entered the west ditch.

Schmidt won the Nobel Prize for physics in 2011 for co-discovering that the expansion of the universe was accelerating. Part of the prize was a gold medal worth $10,000.
STRASBURG, N.D. – A Strasburg man is dead after a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon here in south-central North Dakota, the state Highway Patrol reported. Shortly before 5 p.m. Friday, 17-year-old Katherine Vetter, of Linton, N.D., failed to yield at a yield sign at Seventh Avenue Southeast and 89th Street Southeast four miles west of Strasburg and struck a truck, the patrol said.
MENAHGA, Minn. – A woman found dead in a home here Saturday has been identified by law enforcement. Kelly Marie Lund, 32, of Detroit Lakes, was found dead shortly before 9 a.m. at a home on the 300 block of Third Street NW in Menahga, according to a news release from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
FARGO – Road construction crews will shift the work zone on 25th Street South in Fargo early Tuesday morning. Northbound and southbound traffic will be head to head between 16th and 25th avenues south. Traffic will be traveling on the east side of the bridge as the North Dakota Department of Transportation begins the second phase of the project. The changeover begins at 6 a.m. NDDOT says existing traffic signals will be removed and temporary signals will be used in the area. Left turn lanes will not be accessible in the work zone.
FARGO – “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” just might shine a little bit on Fargo. A picture posted to the North Dakota State University’s bookstore Facebook page featured the cast pointing and surrounding a man wearing a green NDSU hooded sweatshirt. A post explained that a costume designer for the show, Shawn Berry, contacted the store asking for some apparel to be worn in an upcoming episode and promised a photo in return. Berry didn’t know which episode the shirt would appear in. The FX comedy has sported ND attire before.
