ALEXANDRIA, MN- A 19-year-old Alexandria man has pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide in a crash that killed another man last year on Interstate 94. Jacob Dale had been charged with three counts of criminal vehicular homicide. He pleaded guilty to one of those counts -- criminal vehicular homicide while operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more -- on May 14 and will be sentenced July 8, according to the Douglas County Attorney’s Office.
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – A Fergus Falls motorcyclist has died after crashing his bike earlier this month on Interstate 94 near here. The report from the Minnesota State Patrol released Thursday said the accident happened on May 10 at 6:14 p.m. Brian D. Anderson, 34, was part of a group of motorcycles entering the westbound ramp of the interstate from County Road 82, about 5 miles south of Fergus Falls, the patrol report said. Patrol Sgt. Jesse Grabow said Anderson was injured in the accident and died recently from those injuries.

WEST FARGO - A woman whose SUV collided with a freight train here early this morning has been accused of driving drunk, according to West Fargo police. The crash was reported about 1:40 a.m. at a crossing in the 500 block of Ninth Street East, Assistant Chief Mike Reitan said. The driver, Amanda Hageman, 31, of Fargo, and her passenger, another woman from Fargo, were not hurt.
FARGO – A 28-year-old Fargo man was sentenced Wednesday in federal court to 9½ years in prison after pleading guilty earlier this year to possessing hundreds of child pornography images on his computer. Jared Tyler Allen was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $1,000 in restitution and $200 to the Crime Victims Fund, according to a news release from the office of U.S.
CROSBY, N.D. - About 100 barrels of brine water and 140 barrels of oil were spilled at a well site in Divide County on Monday, according to the North Dakota Department of Health. The spill occurred after a valve on a saltwater disposal well failed at a site operated by Samson Resources Co. Samson employees are in the process of cleaning the site, about five miles northwest of Crosby, and are monitoring vegetation. About 90 barrels of brine and 65 barrels of oil have been recovered, according to the health department. The spill reached a nearby farm field.
