Moorhead, MN - A Moorhead man dragged a Hitterdal grandmother her from the bed she was sharing with her granddaughter, threw her on her own bed and sexually assaulted her, prosecutors allege. Glenn John Braseth, 51, was charged Monday in Clay County District Court with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. Oakes, ND - An Oakes N.D., man was charged with DUI after being injured in a one-vehicle accident south of Oakes last night, according to a release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol. Donnel Hankel, 68, Oakes, was traveling south on N.D.
Rolla, ND - A 6-year-old girl has been killed here by a driver who hit her as she was crossing the highway on her bicycle. North Dakota Highway Patrol Sgt. Greg Smith said the child was riding north across U.S. Highway 281 within the city limits of Rolla at around 6:25 p.m. Tuesday when she was hit by a 2009 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck.
Bismarck, ND - A driver from Moorhead refused to follow a Highway Patrol trooper’s commands near here about 4:30 p.m. Monday, initiating a one-hour standoff before he was arrested, according to a state Highway Patrol release. Michael Oconnell, 39, was stopped on suspicion of driving while impaired as he was westbound on Interstate 94 just east of Bismarck.

Travanti Plunkett, 29, Heather Nery 22, and Lloyd Johnson Jr., 23, were being held Monday at the Cass County Jail. Court documents did not list attorneys for them.
Hillsboro, ND - A Minneapolis man has been killed in a rollover accident just north of Hillsboro. North Dakota State Highway Patrol Sgt. Greg Smith said the crash happened at about 7:42 p.m. Monday on Interstate 29 at mile marker 108, about 4 miles north of Hillsboro. Smith said the victim was headed south in his black 2007 Chevrolet HHR along the interstate in a section that had been restricted to one lane due to construction.
FARGO – A woman accused of scheming to deal methamphetamine after receiving it through the mail was sentenced Monday in Cass County District Court. Christine Luetzow, 28, of Fargo was ordered to complete drug court and serve two years on supervised probation. She was credited with spending 74 days in jail.
Ogema, MN - Authorities have released the name of the man who was run over Friday in this rural Becker County town. According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Richard Alan Baity, 41, Ogema, was run over near 370th Street East in Ogema. Becker County sheriff’s deputies determined foul play may have been involved and called the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for assistance.
Bismarck, ND - Police have identified a man who was shot to death during a struggle that ensued after he reportedly pointed a handgun at three young children Saturday in a south Bismarck apartment. Kelly Carrol Smith, 54, lived roughly one block south of the apartment building where the shooting took place, Bismarck Police Sgt. Mark Buschena said Monday.
