FARGO—We are hearing reports of an armed robbery that just occured at a Casey's Gas station on 1401 S. University Drive. The call came in at 7:30 p.m. According to initial reports on a police scanner, the man was last seen fleeing on foot. He is believed to be wearing a winter coat with fur on the hood, as well as a blue mask. We will update you as soon as we know more.
LEONARD, N.D.—Firefighters are battling a house fire at Railroad Avenue South and 6th Street in Leonard, North Dakota. Emergency crews were dispatched around 6 p.m. Wednesday evening. According to Leonard Fire Department, no one currently lives at the residence. At this time, the cause is unknown. We will update you as we know more.
Metro -- We are getting reports of a power outage impacting many people across the valley. We reached out to Otter Tail Power Company, and they said that customers in the following towns are currently experiencing power outages: Kindred, Amenia, Davenport, Casselton and Mapleton. At this point, it is unknown what the cause of this outage is, as well as how many people are without power. We wil update you as we know more.
FARGO -- We are hearing reports that more than 2,500 people are without power in Cass County. Red River Dispatch tells us that Cass County Electric has reported the outage. We'll bring you more information as it becomes available. Click here for an up-to-date outage map.
FARGO -- Over 350 people are without power in Fargo tonight. The outage is affecting people in the area of 42nd Street South, 45th, 13th Avenue South and I-94. Cass County Electric says the cause is unknown. Crews are working on restore power quickly, especially with cold temperatures in the teens.
WEST FARGO—Two West Fargo police officers delivered a baby Wednesday night at approximately 8:22 p.m. They delivered the baby after being dispatched to an address in West Fargo for a woman going into labor. Upon arrival, officers assisted with the baby until FM ambulance arrived. Once FM ambulance arrived on scene, the officers assisted ambulance staff. The mother and child were transported to Sanford Hospital.
FARGO, N.D.-- A person suspected of driving while intoxicated crashed into two vehicles late Monday night on 12th Avenue North near North Dakota State University. The call came in around 10:40 p.m. The driver was heading eastbound in the wrong lane, while two other vehicles were traveling westbound. The driver struck the first vehicle on the side, and hit the other head-on. There weren't any serious injuries and no one was taken by ambulance. No arrests have been made, but the driver has been detained under suspicion of being intoxicated.
