MOORHEAD, MN - Josh Darwin has been waiting for a jump like this.

Darwin saved his best jump for a critical time, uncorking a jump of six feet, ten inches at the Last Chance Invite at Concordia College Monday.

Darwin's jump set a Wahpeton school record and is the fourth highest jump in North Dakota state history. He broke the old Huskie record that was set by James Gylten in 1993 at 6'7.

Darwin attempted a jump at seven feet but did not clear it.

He's considered one of the favorites in the high jump at next week's state track meet in Bismarck.
