Weather Forecast

Monday Afternoon Forecast Discussion

Good afternoon! So far, today has been gorgeous with a partly cloudy sky. As the afternoon continues on, there will be a chance to see a few isolated showers, though I think that is more likely in northeastern North Dakota.

Highs: 72°F-79°F

Wind: Northwest 5-15 mph

Tonight, the chance for isolated showers continue and will end sometime before the overnight hours. Again, I am not picturing these showers to be widespread. Things will turn calm and mostly cloudy later on tonight.

Lows: 52°F-59°F

Wind: Northwest 5-10 mph

Cooler temperatures will linger around for the first part of this week with highs in the mid to lower 70s. Tuesday looks to be one of the cooler days with highs right around 70° and a chance of scattered showers Tuesday through the afternoon and evening. Temperatures start to warm up Thursday, but there is a chance to see showers. I think our rainiest days of the week will be Friday and Saturday, where there is a chance to see showers and thunderstorms.

Have a fabulous day!  -Meteorologist Kellen Peters

After his junior year, he interned at WeatherNation, where he worked as a weather producer. Kellen is a native of Woodbury, MN. He says, “Unlike most meteorologists, I was terrified of the weather as young kid- the movie ‘Twister’ did not fair me well. I later turned that fear into a passion and the rest is history.”  When he isn’t keeping an eye on the weather, you can find him staying active outdoors and cheering on UND hockey and football.
