Concordia to name Bergeson as new athletic director

MOORHEAD - Rachel Bergeson has done everything at Concordia College.

She was a basketball player, then assistant coach to administrator.

Wednesday, she'll be named to the top athletic position at the school.

WDAY Sports has learned that Bergerson will be named athletic director at a press conference on Wednesday.

Bergeson has served as interim athletic director for the last two months after Jeff Bretherton resigned.

Prior to that, Bergeson was the deputy athletic director. She previously served as interim AD before Bretherton was hired in May of 2017.

Domenic is the Sports Director at WDAY. He comes to Fargo from WNCE-TV in Glens Falls, NY where he launched the sports department at the independent station. Before that, Domenic worked at WSTM, the NBC affiliate in Syracuse, NY as a photographer and live truck operator for over two years. He graduated from Oswego State University in 2002 with a degree in Broadcasting. Domenic hails from the lake effect snow capital of the world, Oswego, NY, he joined the WDAY Sports Department in September 2006.
