North Dakota State's Vanessa Anderson cracked a two-run home run in the first inning but that would be the only highlight of Friday's NCAA regional softball tournament game between the Bison and defending national champion Oklahoma.

Thunderstorms and rain delayed the start of Friday's game in Norman, Okla., and eventually suspended the four-team, double-elimination tournament until Saturday.

The Bison, the Summit League champions with a 28-31 record, hold a 2-0 lead in the first inning against Oklahoma, which has a 50-8 record. The Bison and Sooners will resume their game at 1:30 p.m.

The NDSU-Oklahoma winner will play a 5:30 p.m. game against Tulsa. The NDSU-Oklahoma loser will play an 8 p.m. game against Arkansas.

Tulsa beat Arkansas 5-4 in the first region game on Friday.
