Boys Basketball: Sheyenne wins overtime thriller, Davies, South picks up wins
WDAY TV - The top of the EDC boy's basketball standings is a mess. Four teams were separated by two and a half games going into Tuesday night's action. Two of those four met in South Fargo as Sheyenne traveled to Fargo Shanley.
The Mustangs and Deacons needed overtime to decide a winner. Sheyenne would prevail in the extra session winning, 86-80 to extend its win streak to eight games.
The Mustangs remain a half game out of first place in the EDC. Shanley is tied with South for fourth place in the conference after the loss.
Fargo Davies continued its dominance in a win over Grand Forks Central. Braeton Motschenbacher finished with 20 points as the Eagles beat the Knights, 89-42.
In other EDC action, Fargo South pulled away from cross-town rival Fargo North, 70-63. Kiir Mabor had 10 points for the Bruins in the win.
