Mississippi State's second half explosion too much for NDSU

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State used a 13-0 run early in the second half to pull away for an 83-59 college men's basketball victory over the North Dakota State Thursday night.

Sophomore guard Tyson Carter scored a career-high 35 points for MSU (6-0) with six three-pointers. Paul Miller led the Bison with 19 points, five rebounds and four assists. A.J. Jacobson scored 15 making 4 of 5 3-pointers.

The Bison, now 3-4, missed their first nine shots of the game and fell behind by as many as 15 points in the first half, but NDSU closed the half with a 10-0 run and trailed 29-24.
