MLB: Twins 13 Rockies 5

2 / 2

Denver, CO (WDAY TV) - The Twins picked up win number 44 today in Colorado, which is the most they've had at the all-star break since they had 46 in 2010, the last time they made the playoffs.

The offense was electric in the first, scoring 5 runs with 2-out hitting; Eduardo Escobar drives in 2 with a double. 5-0 Twins after one.

Former Twin Justin Morneau will be in tomorrow's home run derby at Target Field; he drives in his 60th run of the year. That leads the Rockies and somehow he's not an all-star.

Meanwhile, Brian Dozier is starting the home run derby early, he belts out a solo shot in the 8th. That one left in a hurry. Twins up 9-5.

Then in the 9th, with 2-on, Dozier knocks out his 18th of the season. That matches his career-high from a year ago and it's only July.

The Twins clobber the Rockies, 13-5.
