FARGO - Ty Brooks has emerged as the new savior in the Bison backfield.

After a a season ending injury to Lance Dunn, Brooks, who had to battle an injury himself this year; is now starting to show the promise that football fans in the EDC saw three years ago.

Brooks was a part of one of the most dominant backfields in North Dakota history. He paired with South all-time leading rusher James Johannesson as the Bruins went on to claim the 2013 state title.

With the Bruins, Brooks was no stranger to the endzone as he had 37 touchdowns in his high school career, the fourth most in school history.

Now in his sophomore year at NDSU, the former South standout is shining. Brooks has rushed for 426 yards and found the endzone eight times in six games this season.
