Area Collage Track Championships Results
Final day of the Summit League Track championships, and it was a good one for NDSU. Paige Stratioti might be just getting started on a terrific career. The Bison freshman wins the women's 400 in 54.69, she also won the indoor title in that event.
Men's 110 hurdles, the Bison sweep the top 3 spots, led by Matt Tetzlaff who repeats as champion, with a winning time of 14.20.
Matt Tetzlaff - 2nd Straight 110 Hurdle SL Title: "It's definitely just as gratifying to win the 2nd one. There's a certain aspect that makes it feel better because there's a little pressure going in. You have a target on your back. So, to come out and do it again is great."
Tetzlaff helps NDSU to its 3rd straight Summit League Crown and 4th in 5 years. USD takes 2nd.
The NDSU women make it a clean sweep, claiming their 5th straight crown. 29 points better than the 2nd place Coyotes.
Great West Championships, Utah Valley wins the men's title. While UND takes third, their highest finish ever. Jesse Fenstermacher set a new school record taking home the 800 title.
And the Sioux women finish one spot behind champion Utah Valley. Emily Emerson finished off her Sioux career by winning the 1500.
At the NSIC outdoor championships in Bismarck...MSU Moorhead's Laquone Robinson won the one-ten hurdles in a meet-record time of 14.13. (He also won the 400 hurdles and long jump).
The Dragon women took home the 4 X 100 relay title; Nicole Hall anchored a conference record breaking time of 46.63. That helped the Dragons finish 5th in the women's standings. U Mary won the meet. The Dragon men finished 2nd behind MSU Mankato.
Let's stay on track! Final day of the MIAC championships. Concordia's Kaari Jensen won the javelin with a personal best throw of 131 feet that title goes along with the heptathlon title she won last weekend. The Cobbers also won the women's high jump, thanks to Chelsea Klemetson, the freshman won it by clearing 5-5 and a quarter. As a team, Concordia finishes 2nd, behind St. Thomas. The Thommies also capture the men's title. Concordia took 8th.
