WEST FARGO, N.D. — A bike race is raising money to change the lives of area families.

Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity's 15th annual stationary bike race is a way to raise money and awareness for simple, decent, affordable housing in the metro.

Teams of six raise money, dress in unique uniforms, and pedal away in the "Tour de Habitat" at Cyclebar in West Fargo.

The non-profit has built 52 homes since 1991.

"Some take it real easy, some go real hard, but it's just a fun event," says Pete Christopher with Habitat for Humanity. "Something a little bit unique in the area, something a little different for us."

The event raised $21,000.
