Heitkamp, Cramer spar on issues in first debate after Democratic incumbent apologizes for newspaper ad

Input meetings slated to guide hiring new Moorhead school superintendent

MOORHEAD — Community members can offer public input in listening sessions to help in hiring a new superintendent for Moorhead Area Public Schools.

Listening meetings will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, Tuesday, Jan. 30, and Thursday, Feb. 1, at the following Moorhead area locations:

Monday: Robert Asp Elementary Media Center, 919 11th St. N.; Sabin Community Center, 2 Main St., Sabin; Ellen Hopkins Elementary Conference Room, 2020 11th St. S., Moorhead.

Tuesday: S.G. Reinertsen Elementary School Room 130, 1201 40th Ave. S., Moorhead; Probstfield Center for Education Board Room 224, 2410 14th St. S., Moorhead; Moorhead Center Mall Atrium, 510 Center Ave., Moorhead.

Thursday: Horizon East Middle School Media Center, 3601 12th Ave. S., Door E1, Moorhead.

Separate staff listening sessions are scheduled for each school.

The school board approved hiring criteria at its Jan. 22 board meeting. Board members will develop interview questions and procedures in February. The board expects to name finalists March 9 and hire the new superintendent in April.
