PLANE LANDING GEAR MALFUNCTIONS

Some are waking up this morning lucky to be okay after scary moments on board a small plane in Fargo.

The plane's landing gear wouldn't deploy. It landed safely with the wheels up at about a 5:45 Monday evening at Hector International Airport. There were four people onboard. First responders say no one was hurt.

POLICE OFFICER FROM MINNESOTA SHOT

An officer injured during a deadly disturbance call over the weekend grew up in our area.

Authorities say 41-year-old Tom O'Donnell was shot Sunday during a shooting in Colorado that left four law enforcement officers injured and one dead. O'Donnell is an officer with the Castle Rock Police Department. He is originally from Underwood, Minnesota and a graduate of Bemidji State University. O'Donnell's family confirmed to us that he was shot in the knee, but is doing okay. He spent a few hours in the hospital Sunday. The family is asking for privacy at this time.

WEST FARGO GETS FULL TIME FIRE CREW

After a "City on the Grow" tripled its population, the volunteer fire department is now a full-time crew.

The West Fargo Fire Department can now have up to 14 full time crew members and up to 44 volunteers. Before the new year, the fire and rescue team was run by around 40 volunteer firefighters. These volunteers were given pagers and had to drop what they were doing anytime a call for service came in. This put a burden on many of the volunteers. Fire Chief Dan Fuller says this will cut response times down to about four minutes in West Fargo and eight minutes for neighboring small towns.
