Wahpeton woman will face two years in prison after her cigarette started apartment fire
Wahpeton, ND (WDAY News) - A Wahpeton woman has been sentenced to two years in prison for starting a fire that forced more than 30 people from an apartment building in Wahpeton.
Several people had to be rescued by firefighters during the March 6th blaze.
Yolanda Thinn allegedly told investigators she fell asleep while smoking a cigarette and set a mattress on fire.
Thinn pleaded guilty in April to reckless endangerment.
