West Fargo Public Schools get $50k injected into mental health services
FARGO—Two generous donors are helping the West Fargo Public Schools provide more mental health services to students.
United Way and Sanford Health are investing a total of $50,000 to bring a Student Wellness Facilitator to the district.
This position will connect students with additional support for their needs, even outside of school hours.
The Student Wellness Facilitator model has been successful in for both Moorhead and Fargo public schools.
1 out of 5 students struggle with mental health disorders, which is something the donors want to help with.
The district is currently seeking a candidate for the position.
They're expecting the program to be up and running this fall
