Roers/Keller William put on annual Chili Feed to raise money for United Way
Fargo, ND (WDAY News) - It was the perfect day for a bowl of steamin' hot chili.
More than 900 people bellied up for the annual Chili Feed for United Way put on by Roers/Keller Williams.
Along with a free-will donation, people could try 50 different types of chili made by everyone from the Killbourne Group to MSUM President Blackhurst.
The goal was to raise more money than last year's $35,000, and they did!
$41,500 were raised for the United Way.
"I think all of us know that we'll be in need at one time or another. So the fact that some people will come out and have this lunch, it's wonderful to see that community spirit," said Kristina Hein, Marketing Director, United Way.
42 different businesses from across our metro sponsored Tuesday's event.
