Welcome home, daddy! Troops of N.D. Guard’s 1/188th return home
FARGO -- Spc. Jedidiah Hansen of the 1st Battalion of the 188th Air Defense Artillery Regiment holds his 10-month-old daughter, Delani, as he was welcomed home Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Fargo's Hector International Airport by his girlfriend, Lynsi Emery, right, and his sister Kaytlyn Hansen. The last time Hansen had seen his daughter, she was two weeks old. The 1/188th spent nearly a year deployed to the East Coast to help defend the air space for Washington, D.C. Hansen was one of 58 members of the 1/188th who arrived at Hector on a charter flight Saturday. Another 33 troops returned to Bismarck and 70 to Grand Forks. Other members of the unit will return to their homes on commercial flights. It was the 11th deployment for the 1/188th since 2004, making it the most-deployed unit in the North Dakota National Guard.
