Fergus Falls firefighters extinguish trailer fire despite propane tanks

Fergus Falls firefighters responded to a “fully-engulfed” construction trailer fire on Friday and contended with multiple propane tanks as they attempted to put it out.

According to a release from the Fergus Falls Fire Department, firefighters responded to a construction trailer fire at about 4:13 p.m. on Friday that contained two 100-pound propane cylinders as well as construction and plumbing material. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within 10 minutes, but remained on site for about 90 minutes as propane continued to burn.

The fire appears to have been caused by a heating unit.
