MINOT, N.D.-- Two men are in jail, accused of kidnapping a Minot woman early Sunday morning after leaving a bar.

Arrested for felonious restraint were Dominick Stephens, 27, and Kendell Russell, 28. Stephens was also arrested for an outstanding warrant through Ward County.

Both were taken to the Ward County Jail.

In the incident, police said around 2:10 a.m. Sunday morning, officers were called to a southeast Minot home for a report of a possible kidnapping of a woman. Shortly after arriving at the scene, a vehicle arrived containing three people, two men and one woman.

The two men were detained, and one of the men was found to be carrying a firearm concealed in his pants, police said.

According to police, the three had left a bar together and the encounter was initially consensual, but when the woman asked to leave, the men drove her to a gas station where she was threatened with a handgun.

While returning from the gas station, a patrol officer watching the area spotted the vehicle and intervened as they returned to the southeast Minot residence.
