MOORHEAD – A Fargo man was pulled over Tuesday night for driving recklessly in a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette, and police found 4.25 pounds of marijuana and just under $10,000 in the car, Moorhead police said.

Just before 9 p.m., an officer spotted 26-year-old Thomas Schultz driving at a high rate of speed at Eighth Street South and Main Avenue, Lt. Tory Jacobson said.

Police stopped Schultz and learned he was driving without a license and that the Corvette was not registered. Consequently, the car was searched before it was towed, and that’s when police found the marijuana and the cash, Jacobson said.

Schultz was booked into the Clay County Jail on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. He also faces counts of reckless driving, driving without a license and failing to register the car.
