Fargo man arrested after early morning chase in stolen vehicle
FARGO – Cass County sheriff’s deputies arrested Jared James Sheperd, 27, of Fargo, on multiple charges stemming from a chase early Wednesday, Dec. 27.
According to the sheriff’s office:
Deputies responded to a rural Amenia, N.D., address about 3 a.m. on a report of a suspicious vehicle.
When deputies approached the vehicle, it fled. During the chase, speeds did not exceed 100 mph.
Deputies were able to stop the vehicle near Buffalo, N.D., using stop sticks, and Sheperd was arrested.
The vehicle Sheperd was driving was reported stolen out of Fargo earlier in the evening. No one was injured in the incident.
The sheriff’s office said Sheperd could face charges of vehicle theft, fleeing in a motor vehicle, DUI and driving under suspension.
