Police: Man nods off, gets in rollover crash near Fargo

FARGO – A Kindred, N.D., man was taken to the hospital after a rollover accident around noon Tuesday, May 15, on Interstate 29 south of Fargo, the state Highway Patrol reported.

Jim Eggman, 50, was found still strapped into his Chevy Trailblazer, which was on its passenger side in the median. An ambulance took him to Essentia Health in Fargo for “possible injuries,” the patrol said.

He told a trooper he had nodded off while southbound, according to a news release.

His SUV then struck the west guardrail of the bridge across the Wild Rice River, crossed both lanes of traffic, struck the east guardrail and entered the median where it rolled over.
