Power outage hits 675 homes near Park Rapids on a frigid morning
PARK RAPIDS, Minn. – A problem with a feeder line cut power to about 675 customers near here on a morning when temperatures were well below zero.
The outage occurred about 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27. By 10:56 a.m. power had been restored to all customers, according to the Itasca-Mantrap Cooperative website.
The outage, caused by a problem at the co-op’s Potato Lake substation, mostly affected homes in the Two Inlets Lake area.
At 10 a.m. Wednesday the temperature in the Park Rapids area was minus 21.
