FARGO, N.D. — Fargo is only months away from having a brand new city hall.

It will be open to the public on August 13, 2018.

Right now, crews say it's about 95% finished.

The new commission chambers is the biggest part of City Hall yet to be finished.

It will seat 212 people, which is a big improvement from the old chambers that only housed 96.

Other building improvements include more space, lighting, and accessibility.

The city says employees are excited for a new place to call home.

"A space that they actually can be not only be proud of, but makes their work environment better, which will just help them serve our community," says lead architect, Terry Stroh. "So, it really is a win-win."

The total cost of the new city hall is $27.7 million.
