Minnesota lawmaker introduces bill to ban Bachelor Arie
ST. PAUL, Minn. — A lawmaker from the town of the winner turned runner-up on this season of "The Bachelor" is following up on his promise to ban Arie from Minnesota.
Representative Drew Christensen of Prior Lake told his Twitter followers he'd introduce this bill in the state legislature if he got 1,000 retweets.
He met his goal.
In case you missed the drama, this season's Bachelor, Arie Luyendyk, initially chose Becca Kufrin, who is also from Prior Lake.
He broke off their engagement weeks later and proposed to the runner-up, Lauren Burnham. It all worked out for Becca, because she's next season's Bachelorette.
