FARGO—It's National Kindness Week, and at Lewis and Clark Elementary, that means it's time for the teddy bear drive.

Fargo South Honor Students helped host the "We Care Bear" drive.

Every bear collected is given to Moorhead Fire, along with Dilworth and Glyndon Police Departments, to provide comfort to a child during a crisis.

Students in the class were with the project every step of the way, and have even donated bears.

"They know what it's like to go on the Public Service Announcements every morning, and they love to make the posters. And you maybe heard some of them say 'that's the bear I brought,' and so they have a real connection to the project since they better understand it," said Stacy Anderson, Teacher.

The teddy bear drive ends Wednesday.

So far, they've collected nearly 140 bears.
