Moorhead man arrested for causing damage to squad car
MOORHEAD—Police in Moorhead say a man caused hundreds of dollars in damages to one of their squad cars after a disturbance.
Lt. Tory Jacobson tells us about eight squad cars were called in to keep 48-year-old John Townsend from hurting himself.
It was at the 500 Block of 32nd Avenue South just after 11:00 Monday night.
They say Townsend was threatening his partner with a knife.
Jacobson says Townsend banged his head against the inside of the squad car so much, he bled all over the seats, causing about $400 dollars in damage.
He's facing charges of second degree assault.
