FARGO—It was a big year for adult fiction literature, according to the Fargo Public Library.

The most popular borrowed books in 2017 for the library were "A Man Called Ove" By Fredrick Bachman, "The Girl on the Train" by Paula Hawkins" and "See Me by Nicholas Sparks."

On the other end of the spectrum, the most popular books for kids was the Guinness Book of World Records which was checked out 195 times.

The library says those numbers are pretty consistent with years past, but the biggest increase they've seen is in E-books.

"We've added new streaming platforms to add to our catalog of E-content, and that continues to grow in terms of usage," said Tim Dirks, Fargo Public Library Director.

Over 21,000 people checked out books last year.
