Fargo Salvation Army Christmas campaign donations fall short by 20 percent
FARGO -- The Salvation Army's Christmas fundraising efforts in Fargo have fallen by 20 percent in donations.
As of Wednesday, Dec. 27, the Salvation Army raised $716,973, short of the Christmas fundraising goal of $900,000.
"We are humbly asking for the community's help to get us back on track," said Major Byron Medlock, leader of the of the Fargo Salvation Army, in a press release. "Every dollar counts."
The Fargo Salvation Army uses donations it receives around Christmas time to fund programs that provide food, clothing, housing assistance and other critical services for residents in the Fargo-Moorhead area, according to the release.
