Two more women are accusing Minnesota Senator Al Franken of sexual misconduct, bringing the total number to eight.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand said, "We need to draw a line in the sand and say none of this is ok."

And, now many politicians are taking a stand.

That sentiment by Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York is being echoed by many lawmakers.

More than 30 have said he should step down.

They're calling for change, saying they should be held accountable for their actions to set an example.

"None of it is acceptable and we, as elected leaders should absolutely be held to a higher standard, not a lower standard, and we should fundamentally be valuing women," said Senator Gillibrand.

The senator has an announcement planned for today.

There are speculations and reports saying sources have confirmed Franken plans to resign.

However, Minnesota's Democratic Office says he hasn't decided anything.

Your news leader will be covering the senator's announcement live on our Xtra channel and online.

One of the people charged in the murder of 22-year-old Savanna LaFontaine Greywind is one step closer to his trial date.

William Hoehn will go to trial next spring after his lawyer asked for a date in March.

Hoehn is charged with conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping of a child, and providing false information to law enforcement.

He has pleaded not guilty to all counts.

The trial is a "date certain" trial meaning it will be the first one of the month unless something out of the ordinary happens.

Prosecutors say it won't be a short trial.

"Factors can change all the time. But it's not a trial that will just last a couple of days, I'm guessing it will be a trial that will last a period of time," said Prosecutor Leah Viste.

Hoehn's girlfriend, Brooke Crews, faces the same charges.

She has a change of plea hearing December 11th.
