SCHOOL TEACHER REMOVED
A local elementary school teacher has been removed from the classroom after allegations of bullying students.
Parents say Andrea Deschamp a 5th-grade teacher at Lewis and Clark Elementary bullied children for years.
This is video from a story we did in 2010.
According to the complaint, the teacher refused to let students see the school nurse or use the bathroom without a detailed explanation why in front of the class.
The teacher also reportedly ridiculed kids for using chap-stick, fixing their hair, or fidgeting.
The removal came after parents like Alexandra came forward to defend her daughter.
"I really went down every avenue possible trying to help her, help her process it. We thought maybe it was her, she's a tween, I don't know. But really, at the end of the day, we had to step in," said Alexandra.
Fargo Public Schools says Deschamp will not be returning to Lewis and Clark and the incident is being investigated.
