Bison fans enjoy warm weather while tailgating
FARGO—Bison Nation was soaking in the nearly 40 degree temps at tailgating Saturday, but these fans know Old Man Winter is just around the corner.
For the seventh year in a row, the Road to Frisco has to go through Fargo.
An oh-so-familiar tale for Bison fans.
Some people coming all the way from the Czech Republic to enjoy some tailgating and see the boys in action.
"I've been told that the Bison is the best team in the world! So I had to see for myself," said a first time fan from the Czech Republic.
Saturday's weather couldn't have been more perfect, if you're a Bison, that is.
"This isn't bad at all. We'll take it," said Doug Hestbeck, tailgator.
For the Toreros? It's another story.
"I'll tell ya, I'm from a warmer place than here," said one Toreros fan.
Although, even they can admit, it's not as bad as it can be.
These warm temps are quite the stark contrast from what December playoffs usually bring.
In fact, if you take a look, just under a year ago, I was out here in much colder and whiter conditions talking about how fans were winterizing their spots.
But as temps next week are looking to be about 30 degrees colder, these fans are enjoying it while they can.
"Some guys hunt, some guys fish, well we tailgate," said a Bison fan.
Then again, anyone who knows Bison Nation knows the Herd will be ready to tailgate rain, snow or shine.
