Family, friends host benefit for woman paralyzed during back surgery
MOORHEAD, Minn.—A woman is recovering after tragic results from, what was routine back surgery.
In April, Diane Andring underwent back surgery for a pinched nerve.
She woke up paralyzed.
She lives with family and continues physical therapy, with the hopes of regaining the use of her hands and arms.
To help her pay medical expenses, friends and family are hosting a benefit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m Saturday at Vic's Bar and Grill in the Moorhead Center Mall.
"She always has a smile on her face, she's always welcoming, she'd give the shirt off of anyone's back - so we're just trying to help her out in return," said Renate Marquette, Friend.
