FARGO—More than 3,000 students are getting an education in careers, with an Expo at the Fargodome.

Thursday, Freshmen from more than 40 schools around the area got to get an up-close look at different Health,Tech and Trade careers.

They tried out equipment from local companies, like cranes and medical tools, while getting advice from professionals in the field.

Expo members say this helps get younger generations interested in fields that are in need of workers.

"Every day we're working with our partners to talk about - how do we fill the shortage with our nursing careers, and definitely in the trades area and construction," said Denise Jonas, Career Expo Member.

More than 100 companies participated in the expo.
