Emergency Food Pantry makes a plea for donations

FARGO — The Emergency Food Pantry here is seeking donations to replenish its stock for the upcoming holiday season.

The inventory is at its lowest point all fall with only a quarter of the pantry's storage full, the group said in a news release.

November and December are the pantry's busiest months. Families often visit the pantry because of increased costs in heating and the need for warm clothes.

The pantry is requesting canned meat such as tuna or chicken, 1 pound bags of plain rice, canned vegetables and peanut butter. Monetary donations will also be accepted to help purchase goods to fill the shelves.
