METRO—The country's top runner's magazine is featuring a Fargo-Moorhead charity that "teams up" runners with a buddy somewhere around the world, who is unable to run.

The group "I Run 4", started small, but now has 43,000 people taking part.

Tim Boyle and Josh Hausauer make quite the team.

It is hard to tell whose smile is brighter after finishing a race, but when it comes right down to it, Tim doesn't run because he's a running nut, he runs for people like Josh,

"Josh doesn't quit, things are tougher for him that what they are for most, but he still does it, and he has a great sense of humor and he laughs at me when I tell him he always beats me and cross first," said Tim Boyle, I Run 4.

Tim's local non-profit, I Run 4, just made the spread in the current Runner's World magazine, the most popular magazine nationwide for runners.

The concept is simple, those who run, run for someone who can't.

That buddy can be anywhere in the world, taking part in the race virtually.

"People do fly to meet buddies, we do not match based on location, but to meet is incredible. Seven months ago, we had a runner fly to Australia to meet a buddy, that is pretty cool," said Tim.

Tim's partner, Josh, runs with him; half marathons, and hopes of an upcoming marathon.

Tim is a Scheels sponsored athlete and Josh works at Scheels.

The two connected, and a team was born, crossing the finish line together at the Fargo Marathon was memorable for them.

"Runners hit the wall and you search deep for inspiration and people and you look how to push through that wall and Josh is a reason," said Tim.

The article in this month's Runner's World sparked a jump in membership, adding hundreds to the list of those taking part in "I run 4".

Runners from more than 30-countries and close to 45,000 who will team up and run for a buddy, they may never meet.

"For me the best feeling is when Josh and I run together and we cross that finish line and we see the photos, that is what it is all about," said Tim.
