Fergus Falls police seek help in finding vulnerable adult

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. — The Fergus Falls Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a missing vulnerable adult.

According to information provided by police:

Shaylia Helland, 27, has been missing since recently leaving a group home.

She may be getting rides from truck drivers and may be hanging out near truck stops.

It's possible she is heading for New Jersey or Dallas.

She was last known to be at the Rogers (Minn.) Truck Stop on Friday, Oct. 6.

Helland may be using her Cherokee name of Akecheta Halona.

Anyone with information about her is asked to contact Fergus Falls police at (218) 332-5555.
