Burgum orders flags flown at half-staff for Las Vegas shooting victims
FARGO -- North Dakota governor Doug Burgum directed all government agencies to fly the United States and North Dakota flags at half-staff Monday until sunset of Friday, Oct. 6 for the victims of the Las Vegas shooting that took place Sunday evening.
Burgum also encourages North Dakotans to do the same at homes and businesses as a mark of respect for the Las Vegas victims.
"Kathryn and I extend our deepest sympathies to all thoses affected by this horrific act of violence in Las Vegas," Burgum said in a release. "With heavy hearts, we grieve the victims of this tragedy, send our thoughts and prayers to their families and friends and express our gratitude to the first responders and law enforcement officers for their swift action."
