MOORHEAD -- If you needed an excuse to indulge in some sweet treats, Thursday's the day.

The Moorhead Dairy Queen is donating half of every purchase made until 10 p.m. Thursday night.

All of the proceeds will go to funding the next "WDAY Honor Flight" trip to Washington DC.

Last year, this spot was able to raise over $5,000 dollars for veterans to visit the monuments made in their honor, and they're hoping to beat that this year.

"It's always humbling to help them out, but I love to know what they think of the whole day. They always come up to the counter and say they appreciate it and everything. It's always fun to hear that." said DQ owner Troy Deleon.

There will also be "honor flight" items for sale, including the honor flight book.
