Many gathered to support Pride Week and it's multitude of festivities Downtown Fargo
FARGO—Island Park is covered in rainbows as Pride Week brings out crowds of vendors to celebrate the LBTQ community.
The event hosted vendors and businesses from around the metro.
Friends and families wore colorful outfits to show their support.
The day included food, music, and a walk around downtown Fargo.
Organizers say the event helps hundreds of people show who they really are here in the valley.
"I think it's important to show the community that there are people that support them, and that it's not bad to be who you are, and that people love you no matter what," said Elizabeth Kinzer, FM Pride Coordinator.
The Pride party continues Saturday night with a drag show at 8:00 p.m. in Island Park.
On Sunday the main event will be the parade happening downtown at 2:00 p.m.
