Naked man arrested, suspected of domestic assault
CASSELTON, N.D. – A naked Casselton man was arrested early Wednesday, Aug. 9, after fleeing from Cass County sheriff’s deputies responding to a report of domestic violence.
The deputies were dispatched to a home in downtown Casselton about 3 a.m., and James C.J. Decoteau fled the residence naked, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Deputies found Decoteau a short time later outside a gas station. He initially resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody after a Taser was used on him, the sheriff’s office said.
Decoteau, 23, was booked into the county jail on suspicion of simple assault, as well as an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
